Day 1:
left Groß Gerungs at 2:30 heading for Eastbourne
explored the city
excited to meet our host families
soooooooo tired
…. but wait, there‘s more…. TOMORROW
Day 2:
had our first lessons at an English school
ate lunch at the beach
checked our homework at the wish tower and did some fieldwork
…….but wait, there‘s more….TOMORROW
Day 3:
daily routine – went to school in the morning
had lunch break at the beach ![]()
did a treasure hunt boys vs girls ![]()
….but wait, there‘s more…..TOMORROW
Day 4:
LONDON calling – went to the Buckingham Palace
watched the rehearsal for Trooping the colours
walked through St. James‘ park
short stop at Trafalgar Square – break at the Serpentine in Hyde Park
met a lot of interesting people at Madame Tussaud‘s 

…. but wait, there‘s more….TOMORROW
Day 5:
went to Beachy Head by bus
enjoyed the wonderful view from the top of the cliffs and hiked back down to Eastbourne to eat fish & chips

Day 6:
daily routine – school in the morning
ate our packed lunch in the train to Hastings – saw a lot of fish in the aquarium
visited the smugglers’ caves
and the ruins of Hasting‘s castle
…..but wait, there‘s more….TOMORROW
Day 7:
had our last lessons at school – went to the beach for the last time
did the final part of our treasure hunt
and said GOODBYE Eastbourne
….but wait, there‘s more….TOMORROW
Day 8:
LONDON calling
went to London by coach
then took the tube to Westminster
had a look at Westminster Abbey, walked by Big Ben 

, crossed Westminster Bridge – saw the Houses of Parliament, strolled along the Thames
and climbed 528 steps to the top of St Paul‘s Cathedral 
finally crossed Tower Bridge and went to our hotel 
….but wait, there‘s more…..TOMORROW
Day 9:
LONDON calling
went to the Tower to see the crown jewels
then took a boat to Greenwich
especially for us the Tower Bridge opened
visited the Maritime Museum and then went up to the Royal Observatory to stand on both sides of the prime meridian
finally tried not to panic at the London Dungeon
now looking forward to going home tomorrow
